What matters to us
A cabinet that is fifty years old is still standing. That tells you enough about how it was made, and about how long it will last.
That is why we sell nothing new. Everything you find here belonged to someone before: second-hand, or sixth-hand, we usually do not know. Furniture, lamps, tableware and collectibles: Hummel figurines, vintage Apple mugs from the eighties.
We clean every item in our shop. Many pieces still look as good as new, others have light traces of use. When we photograph a piece we try to capture everything, which is why we never retouch our photos.
The description tells you what we saw. That way you know exactly what you are buying.

About our prices
What something costs here depends on three things:
- the condition it is in
- how easily you find it elsewhere
- and what comparable pieces actually fetch
Not what someone is asking for it somewhere, but what is actually being paid. That is often a big difference.
If something is wrong with a piece, you see it in the price. A vintage hi-fi set that needs attention first is not priced like one you can plug straight in. What we know does not work, or still needs sorting out, is written down. That way you can judge what you want to put into it before you buy.
What we do not do: raise a price because something happens to be in fashion, or strike through an amount we never asked. The price you see is the price.
